Hillsborough dance classes are offered at a wonderful dance school known as The Dance Connection. My 8-year-old daughter began dance classes at The Dance Connection close to three years now. Because of the variety of dance classes offered she is developing a great technique and form. She looks forward to her dance classes because she has an opportunity to be with her friends and practice her skills on becoming a great dancer.
Every June my daughter along with many other bright-eyed children perform in the annual Dance Connection recital. The students begin preparing for the recital in September and dedicate at least one day a week to prepare for the performance. The student’s whom participate in Hillsborough dance classes at the Dance Connection wear a variety of beautiful, bright, and unique costumes for the show. There are a variety of classes offered so the music varies as well from classical to modern hip-hop. The recital is a fun experience for the children, parents, and audience.
Hillsborough dance classes are not just for recitals. There is variety of other vivacious opportunities to show case talent. For example, The Nutcracker is another annual performance put on by students, parents, teachers, and other professional dancers in nearby communities. It is an annual show that brings families closer by building on holiday traditions. It is a must see enjoyable show that brings in the holiday cheer for the cold winter season.
The competition team offered for Hillsborough dance classes is for children that are beginning to take their dance to the next level. This was my daughters first year on the team and she is having a great time practicing, performing, and participating as a team member. She is learning the concept of teamwork. The team dances in three performances and they have the opportunity to receive trophies and awards.
Teachers always say don’t forget to read over the summer, well the same concept goes for dancing. It is important for children to keep up with dancing all year long. If you want your child to participate in Hillsborough dance classes, The Dance Connection continues their dance curriculum over the break. There are summer classes offered as well as a performing arts camp. Students participate in a variety of activities from arts and crafts, singing lessons, and of course dance class.
My daughter participates in many of the activities offered at The Dance Connection. Dancing is more then just a hobby that she does on occasion when she is bored; it is her lifestyle. There are many things to do in town but Hillsborough dance classes are a fun way to incorporate healthy living in your child’s life.
